Newtonairds Hostas & Garden

The garden at Newtonairds is a beautiful setting for the National Collection of Hosta plantaginea hybrids and cultivars, all of which have fragrant flowers.

The Collection is integrated on a woodland bank in this one acre plantsman's garden. The exuberantly filled lower garden is punctuated with statues, topiary, trees and shrubs and has a dramatic gravelled rose and clematis circle which surrounds heritage vegetable beds. The 19th century (1865) B listed baronial lodge is a Gatehouse to the former Newtonairds Estate. A variety of home grown hardy perennial plants including Hostas, also seeds, cards and framed photographs are for sale.
