Classic cottage garden plants grown at Ellenbank are sent to keen gardeners and public gardens all over the UK and abroad. Plants for sale include a large collection of Violas, old favourites and new varieties, some first raised on site. Other specialities include Hardy Geraniums, Penstemons, Campanulas, Eryngiums, Primulas and Iris along with hundreds of other delights and rarities.

In addition to the sales area, the half acre formal garden, with its high curved wall provides a showcase for plants in their mature form. At its best from mid-summer, the scents and colours of this herbaceous garden can be memorable. Other stock beds allow plants spreading room for propagation, and for trials of promising newcomers.

As a busy working nursery, not a garden centre, regular opening times are restricted.
